ACTI co-director and chair of the department of Biochemistry, Prof. Erick Strauss, will be leading one of the 18 projects announced as the first members of the new Gram-negative Antibiotic Discovery Innovator (Gr-ADI) consortium. The consortium is the first investment of the $300 million global health research and development partnership launched by three philanthropic organizations – the Gates Foundation, the Novo Nordisk Foundation, and the Wellcome Trust – in 2024.
